Here she is the rootinist tootinist cowgirl ever!
I'm so happy I found the buzz wings to go with the outfit they totally made the costume.
I may be biased but these are the cutest kids on the planet and off the planet.
We wanted to do something fun but not over do it before trick or treating. We decided to go to Boo at the Zoo. We got nervous when we pulled up and the parking lot was full. We used our tricky back entrance and there was no line. There were a lot of people there but it was so well organized that it didn't feel overcrowded. They had trick or treating booths all over with different sponsors from meadow gold with egg nog and chocolate milk to Marie Calendars sampling pies and of course lots of candy everywhere.
Posing at the photo op Happy Halloween sign.
I loved that the Buzz wings were detachable because he didn't have to wear them all the time and could move more freely. If they hadn't been detachable he would have made them detachable.
Our kids and their obsession with the reptile house. Of course they have to love the animals in the stinkiest part of the zoo best.
Jessie and the croc.
Anything that can be climbed on or swung from is favorite. Especially when you can hang on stuff and look at reptiles.
I had to get pictures of some of the funny costumes. Half the fun of going was seeing everyone in their costumes. The Where's Waldo family was great. I also loved the kids in Peeps marshmallow costumes (not pictured).
Here is Princess Peach with Mario on the carousel.
The obsession with the Lion King also continues.
And Seth wanted to ride a lion if his sister was riding a lion.
Here is the before picture....
and here is the after. The long ride from the zoo to Grandma Judi's was just the ticket to ensure perfect nap times.
That afternoon it began raining and I mean really raining. We weren't sure if the kids would be able to go out. I started preparing them for the worst and suggesting we could trick or treat to different rooms of the house but the pitch didn't go over so well. Thank heavens that at 6:45 the sky cleared up and it was a beautiful night. It wasn't even too cold.
Here they are in action. It was hilarious because Ella would ring the bell and then Caleb would have to ring the bell too and then Tate was an expert knocker so he would commence and Seth would be practicing his "trick or treat"on the doorstep. When the door was opened Tate would try to enter the home and check out what it had to offer. I'm sure the poor homeowners will always remember us. But it was dreadfully funny for us moms. The kids had a good time trick or treating and came home with enough candy to last the next two months.

What a darling blog! I'm so glad I found you and your beautiful family!
I almost wet my pants when I read about Tate walking in the houses. hahahahaha! I wish I was there. :(
This was fun to see and to read--your commentary style makes me smile.
Yeah, what a fun Halloween and your kids did look really cute! Way to make the Jesse costume happen. I probably would have been a mean mom and made her pick another one. I'm impressed!
