Yes, I do realize that it is March. Better late than never, right?
The kids were excited as usual. They had already opened their stockings upstairs accompanied by their first present of the day, Aunt Rachel, fresh from North Carolina! Ella knew that Rachel would be coming after she had already gone to bed. She asked if Rachel could "come in and give her a quick kiss on the cheek when she got in." So cute! Seth is doing his impression of a T Rex and Ella is a Snow Belle as her shirt declares.
I was filming with the video camera so the shots are a bit sporadic because I passed the camera around hoping others would get photos. There isn't even a picture of the tree with presents under it. Oh well. I already did much better than last year when I thought I had recorded all of christmas only to discover the camera was on pause not record. I don't consider myself totally technologically savvy but I do typically know how to turn the camera on.
It was a joyous occasion. Woody finally got his Jessie. Seth got yet another buzz lightyear outfit (pjs) and many other toy story related objects. I know, I never thought I'd be one of those people but I am totally beholden to disney.
This was a banner year for princess accoutrements. Ella got a tiana dress, belle dress, and jasmin dress.
Toy story scooter. The second Seth opened it he went trolling after someone to put it together for him. Grandpa was an easy mark.
Testing out the craftsmanship on the carpet. Santa must have decided it was time for Seth's own scooter, he was getting a little too cozy riding Ella's princess pink one.
I think Ella now owns every disney princess barbie known to man. When she opened them up she .screamed "A hundred of barbies! A hundred of barbies!" We all just about fell over from laughter. Definitely the quote of the day.
Here is the hide and seek rabbit who was neither a hider nor a seeker, discuss amongst yourselves. It was fun for about 3 minutes.
Then onto Nana and grandpa's house for more excitement. I love doing Christmas this way. It is a lot of shuffling around but it extends the day and ensures we get to share the fun with everyone! Nana always has a terrific buffet full of good things to snack on and of course her famous hot cocoa. If you are a cocoa officionado like me it is a must have.
Here's Joshie! Our cute little Christmas baby! Holidays are so much fun with a baby around. No I take that back, everything is more fun with a baby around, especially if it is one you don't have to feed or change!

After all the excitement at Nana's it was time to head to Grandma and Grandpa Rollins' house. Chelsea and Chad got Ella this lovely marshmallow shooter. Just what every girl needs. The story on this is kind of funny. Ella overheard Chelsea and I talking about marshmallow shooters because Chels had gotten one from Chad. Three days before Christmas, during the usual "What do you want to Christmas" questions from friends and relatives, Ella throws out that she wants a marshmallow shooter. Well of course Santa hadn't heard the latest news and the big day was very near. So Chelsea saved the day and made a wish come true.
The cutest cougar cub around in his new cougar hat. Anything BYU or cougar related or even blue for that matter is very exciting to him. Even if he sees someone wear a blue non-BYU related shirt he still calls it a cougar shirt and sometimes bursts into the cougar cheer.
This trampoline has Grandma written all over it. It is about 4 feet wide and 8 inches off the ground yet it is totally enclosed with a mesh protective wrap. We set it up in the basement and the kids absolutely love it. I was a little concerned that it didn't come with helmets or arm and knee pads. Grandma must be getting a little more relaxed. We love you Grandma!
One of Seth's favorite things about this day was the pretend snowball fight he had between Grandma, Grandpa and Ella. They took all the tissue paper and wadded them up and commenced throwing them at each other. All the while Seth yelled "Snowball fight!!" Grandma was a favorite victim because she could make a really good scared face before Seth nailed her.
Chelsea and Chad testing out the new wii game which coincidentally is a buzz lightyear arcade shooting game like the ride at Disney. We handed Seth a tv remote to shoot with and he hadn't a clue that he wasn't actually playing.
This is my very attractive frustrated face because I am terrible despite no practice whatsoever on the wii for months.
Ella posing for the camera, what else is new?
Some very attractive kids. Can you tell Seth is trying very hard to hold still so I won't make him take any more pictures?

I love your writing style, Rebecca!
What fun to see such great examples of happy childhood memories. I'm really glad that Seth and Ella have so many people who adore them.
And I love that picture of Ella and Seth dressed in their Christmas finery.
Good work! You are right. Better late than never.
