Walking with the DINOSAURS!!

When we saw this show was coming to Utah, Ella and I jumped on youtube and checked it out. After seeing the video we were sold and we were not disappointed. I was worried that Ella would get scared and want to leave but she was enthralled. As each dinosaur came out she yelled out "look it's an ankylasaurus!" or "A stegasaurus!"

All the dinosaurs were life size and looked and moved so life like. Ella kept saying "these are pretend right?" At one point she asked "Can they get me?" but once she understood they weren't going to leave the stage she was cool.

The scenery was amazing. For each period of time the scenery and plants would change and new trees or flowers would sprout up on their own. It was almost magical. The lighting was cool too. They had these guys sitting on tiny suspended chairs that were hoisted up into the rafters to work the hundreds of spotlights. The lighting was changed to look like lava and water and vegetation on the ground and dinosaur footprints.

Yes, we also had an entourage for this event as well. My new motto is "go big or stay home" so usually I stay home.

It was one of those shows that you secretly wanted to go see but were glad that you had a child with you to legitimize it. When the show was almost over Ella looked around and said " That was fun but I wish they would've had a pachycephalasaurus," Priceless. After the show we all agreed that the Mama T Rex rescuing the baby T Rex was the best part. Here is a short clip of it. There is also a clip of the Brachiosauruses and the Utah Raptors.
