We celebrated Seth's 1st birthday on the day of the first BYU football game. So of course the party was football themed. It was a lot of fun and we actually won the game, defeating Oklahoma, which made the evening a complete success.
I was a bit daring with the cake. Great Grandma Nielsen makes an amazing caramel cake and I decided to make it for the party. It was a bit more difficult than I had anticipated and it turned out a little grainy but not enough to keep Seth from eating it.
Seth got a lot of fun presents! He has had a lot of fun playing with them already! It was a crazy evening and I discovered that I hadn't taken any pictures of all the people that came. If anyone has pictures I would appreciate them.
This picture is from Seth's 1 year doctor checkup. As you can see he weighed in at 20 lbs 11 oz. Which means he is now officially riding forward facing in his carseat and loving it! He is 20th percentile for weight, 70th for height, and still 80th for head size, which makes getting shirts on a trick. At least he seems to be growing into his head size a little more. Don't tell him though or he'll cry himself to sleep on his huge pillow (said with a Scottish accent).
Seth's present from us was this mini basketball hoop. The video is of Rob having dunk time with him. He is in LOVE with this thing. He wakes up in the morning first thing and points to it and says "Duh Duh" and then finds his ball and we have a jam session.

I am dieing laughing about his huge pillow. And I can't believe he's 1!?! Seriously, Reb, that's crazy. We need to figure out if things are still maybe a go for Saturday? I'll send another email.
Love that video!
We had a BYU party that day but no first birthdays. crazy that it has already been a year.
