When I was little my mom did these amazing valentines tea parties for my friends and me. Complete with heart shaped sandwiches, bon bons, heart shaped ice cubes and all manner of delicious candies and fun games to boot. This year I decided to pick up the torch but in a little more low key way. Ella invited 2 boys and 3 girls to the party. They all were very polite and had a good time.
Ella has been excited for this for 2 weeks when we sent the invitations out. It got worse when I let her go to the store with me to get things for the party. She would ask me 4 times a day "Is it valentines day yet?" She wanted to be involved in everything. I finished frosting the cupcakes and Ella put the sprinkles on. I went to see to Seth for 30 seconds and returned to find one cupcake completely devoid of frosting. Yep, I caught her pink handed (and faced).
Here is the gang playing Valentines Bingo. There were no losers after I told them they could eat the candy off their boards. After everyone left Ella told me she loved her Valentines Tea. I think we will continue this tradition.
