BBQ

I love summer bbq's! Here are some pictures from one of our bbq's in July. It was right before Rachel left for North Carolina. Cute little Seth loves relaxing on a nice big chair.

A frisbee game got going and Seth decided that he wanted to join in. We all laughed when he picked up the frisbee and tried to throw it, that is until he got off a perfect shot on his second try. That's our little athlete.

The game got even more fun when everyone started catching it without using their hands.

Throwing to Daddy.

Nice one Rach!

10 points to Chad!!

Grandma and Garth seemed to be having a good time as well.

Ella preferred twirling to frisbee.

Later we played some bocce ball. It pretty much rocks. I don't like to brag, but Rachel and I owned everyone else at bocce ball. Oh wait I guess I do like to brag. We had a great time and even Garth got his bocce on!

Ella and Seth love their little t ball set. They play really well together most of the time. Just as long as Ella gets to go first. I love it when Ella teaches Seth how to be chivalrous and then says in a British accent, yes she can do a British accent, "Sethe you are such a gentleman!"

What would a bbq be without banana splits? Okay it would still be a good bbq but not a great one.

It's always vaudeville around here.

Ella prides herself on eating tidily and Seth prides himself on getting most of his food on his face. I love it! But he is always careful to tell me he needs cleaning before taking off to play.

You may remember from an older post that whenever we go to my parents house the kids beg Grandpa to put on a crocodile video. Usually he plays this tame little video of pictures of crocodiles sitting peacefully in water. This time he discovered that they were fascinated by the vs videos. By this I mean crocodile vs wildebeest or crocodile vs gazelle in a one on one death match. Thanks Grandpa for a good dose of reality. It's a crocodile eat wildebeest world out there.

I love the horrified look on Ella's face as she realized that the wildebeest wasn't going to make it. Am I a terrible mother for allowing this to go on,? Probably.
