Summertime Adventures (Part 1)

When I was little we would always do things with my Aunt Jill and her two girls that are the same age as Rachel and I. We had so much fun going places and putting on plays for our parents. Six more kids later for my Aunt Jill and two for me and we now have a whole new generation of cousins the same age.

Here are the girls in front of the Children's Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point.

They have a really cool statue of Noah's Ark complete with fountains, animals and wading pool. I'm sure when the original ark hit ground the kids all donned their swimsuits and had a splash party too.

Seth absolutely loved the little wading pool. It has a slight ramp into the water which made for endless fun going up and down it. Last year he was too little to really play in it. It is so fun to see him growing up. Check out the six pack on that boy!

We enjoyed a lovely picnic in the shade, well at least the mom's did. The kids were slightly too busy to eat.

They all loved the water that squirted up randomly out of the ground.

A cute little lighthouse playhouse. No grownups allowed.

After the children's garden we had to stop at the Dinosaur Museum so we could add some sand to their swimsuits.

Ella posing for a picture to show Daddy how great her dam turned out. It must be in her blood Dad.

This is Seth's first time playing in the sand table. He has never been coordinated enough to climb underneath the ramp that leads to it. With a little help from Ella he made it in and had to be dragged out a half hour later.

Playing with the dinosaurs. Seth is almost big enough to be an enticing playmate for Ella.
