Cornbelly's 09

We had a great time at Cornbelly's, as usual. This year it was just Mom, Seth, Ella and I but we had enough fun for everyone else.

We probably spent an hour on the bouncing pillows. Seth tried to stand up and bounce for a little while. After the 200th fall, he realized it was futile and sat down.

The reason Seth fell down so much... Ella. She was like a bunny on riddelin. I wonder if you can buy bouncing pillows for home use. She slept like a rock that night.

There are always a lot of fun slides and things for the kids to play on. This year was great because Ella did everything herself. She didn't beg me once to accompany her down the slide.

I didn't get a picture of it, but the slides are great. They are big corrugated pipes. You go down really fast and it is difficult not to fall when you come out the bottom. Ella would call down when she was about to slide so we could catch her at the bottom.

Of course there is the big corn maze, which we enter, spend about 5 minutes in, and then Ella decides it's hopeless and we come back out the way we came in. However, she really enjoys the little kids hay maze. Especially when you don't follow the rules. You are supposed to only make left turns which makes it pretty tricky. Ella has never been one for following the rules. But if she sees someone else who isn't ...

Duck racing was fun. Ella found a pink rubber duck and gave her the ride of her life, about 20 times.

Princess Land was one of Ella's favorite parts of Cornbelly's. You get to dress up, play in the castle, listen to princess story time, and sit in Cinderella's carriage. What's not to like.

Oh yeah Cow Train!! Ella was excited because we told her the cow she picked was named Judi. And "that's my grandma Judi's name!" exclaimed Ella.

The continuing saga of Ella and the Beast. So as you will remember from last year Ella was strangely enchanted by the beast but never worked up the courage to touch it. On the way home last year she proclaimed "Next year I'm going to touch it!" After countless explanations of how it is just a balloon she finally worked up the nerve and touched it. We documented it so the nay sayers from last year would have proof. Yes, she only touched part of his claw but when you think about it that is one of the deadliest parts.

I was really off my game this year because I forgot to take a picture of Ella and her pig. They have pig racing and pick 3 kids from the audience for each pig. If your pig is a winner you get a prize. We didn't think Ella would get chosen because she did it last year but she did. And her pig named "Stinkerella" won! She got a cute little pig nose mask which she chases Seth around the house in.

Nest year at Cornbelly's everyone!
