So I can't believe I had never been to Tracy Aviary but it was true. It was very fun and it looked like they were constructing some new habitats for the summer so we may have to come again soon.
Like the zoo Ella loved the free roaming peacocks and she chased them all over. This one jumped onto this roof to escape her. She also found that pheasants are very fun to chase too.
What a shock Ella with a map. She would look at the pictures and tell us what was coming up next even though she had no idea what they were until I told her. "Oh it looks like this bird is next."(pointing at the map).
Just FYI this is what a cukoo bird looks like. I had never seen one in real life before. I loved their crazy hair, it reminded me of Seth's.
Speaking of Seth, here he is with Grandpa just kicking back and relaxing.
This was a special exhibit where you could walk in and get right up next to the birds for a close up view. A cool idea until you realize that is also gives them a close up way to "2" on you.
Yay Flamingos! I informed Ella that Flamingos get their color because of all the shrimp they eat and then Ella hit me with "Mommy why are shrimp pink?" I did not have an answer to that one. Another thing I have to wikipedia.

You guys do so many fun things! I wish we lived closer and we'd come along for the ride. Ella is one smart little cookie.
