Cornbelly's 2008

This year we took Ella to the corn maze and were pleasantly surprised with how much there was to do besides corn mazing. Truth be told we didn't really spend much time in the actual corn maze.

If you asked Ella she would say her favorite thing was the monster. This is somewhat misleading because she wouldn't go within 30 feet of it but was strangely fascinated by it.

She also enjoyed the giant jumping pillow for a few minutes until she was distracted by the millions of other activities.

Her second favorite event was the cow train. Each car had a different name and Ella wanted to ride in each one. The train of cars was pulled by a tractor and took you on a short loop around a very bumpy dirt road. It got even bumpier after the 5th ride.

There were lots of photo ops in the form of wooden pictures with the faces cut out. Yes, we did them all.

As many know Ella's favorite vegetable, and by favorite I mean the only one that she will eat, is corn. Imagine her delight when she found that you could play in a room full of it. When we came home we found about 10 kernels in her pants.

While we were playing around they announced that there was a pig race starting in a few minutes. When they asked for volunteers Chad held Ella up in the air and who can say no to that face. Unfortunately her pig didn't win but she walked away with a sweet spider ring.

We did bring Seth with us as well. He mostly slept through the whole event in his baby bjorn. He did wake up in time to let us know it was time to go home.

Before we left Ella had to say goodbye to the monster and promised us all that next year she was going to touch him. I won't hold my breath.
